Terms & Conditions

These terms govern your use of Recouped, a reconciliation service operated by The Good Studio (“Recouped,” “we,” “us”). By using the service or booking a review, you agree to them.

What Recouped does

We reconcile your payouts against your records, find discrepancies such as short-pays, holds, and missing deposits, and hand you a documented claim for what you appear to be owed. We are the detective, not the collections agency: you or your team submit claims to the relevant processor, carrier, or platform. Recouped does not provide legal, tax, or accounting advice, and it does not replace your accountant or your books.

The free review

The three-month review is provided free and with no obligation. You keep the findings. After the review, any ongoing service and its price are agreed separately in writing before work continues.

Your responsibilities

• Give us accurate information and the access we need to the sources you want reconciled.
• Make sure you are authorized to connect those accounts and share that data.
• Review our findings before acting on them or submitting any claim.

No guarantee of recovery

We work carefully, but we cannot guarantee that any specific amount will be found or recovered. Findings are based on the data available to us, and whether a claim is paid is decided by the third party it is submitted to.

Confidentiality

We treat your business and financial information as confidential and use it only to provide the service, as described in our Privacy Policy.

Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law, Recouped is provided “as is,” and we are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages. Our total liability for any claim relating to the service is limited to the amount you paid us for it in the prior twelve months.

Ending the service

You can stop using Recouped at any time. On request, we will export your full history and structured data and help you move it elsewhere. There are no hostage situations.

Changes

We may update these terms as the service evolves. If we make material changes, we will update the date above and, where appropriate, let you know.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which The Good Studio operates, without regard to conflict-of-law rules.
