Recouped is a reconciliation service operated by The Good Studio (“Recouped,” “we,” “us”). This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and the choices you have. We keep it short and plain on purpose.

What we collect

• Contact details you give us when you book a review or reach out, such as your name, email, business name, and anything you choose to share. Calls are scheduled through Cal.com, which processes your booking details on our behalf.
• Financial and transaction data from the sources you connect (such as payment processors, your bank, marketplaces, and carrier or 3PL invoices). We request read-only access wherever possible. We use this data only to reconcile your accounts and report what we find.
• Basic site data such as your IP address and device or browser information, collected automatically to keep the site secure and working.

How we use it

• To reconcile your payouts against your records and surface discrepancies.
• To prepare reports and documented claims for money you may be owed.
• To communicate with you about your review and the service.
• To operate, secure, and improve the service.

We do not sell your data, and we do not share it for advertising. Ever.

Who we share it with

We share data only with service providers that help us run Recouped (for example, scheduling, hosting, and infrastructure), and only as needed for them to do their job. We may also disclose information if required by law. We do not share your financial data with anyone else without your instruction.

How we protect it

Your data lives in an isolated, encrypted database. We apply least-access by default, keep full audit trails, and carry over the security practices we used in bank and fintech environments. No method of storage or transmission is perfectly secure, but we take this seriously.

Keeping and deleting your data

We keep your data for as long as we provide the service to you, or as needed to meet legal and accounting obligations. You can export your full history at any time, and you can ask us to delete your data. We will do so unless we are required to retain it.

Your choices

You can access, correct, export, or delete your information, and withdraw access to any connected source at any time. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under laws such as GDPR or CCPA. To make a request, contact us using the details below.

Cookies

We use only the cookies needed to run the site and the booking flow. We do not use advertising or cross-site tracking cookies.
